Vendor Love : Venue – Tullymore Golf Resort

Last summer, I got the amazing opportunity to photograph Lisa and Josh's wedding at Tullymore Golf Resort in Stanwood, MI. I had a chance to work with Linda Young, the Conference and Event Coordinator for Tullymore Golf Resort. I was blown away by the amazing service from the staff and the beautiful grounds at the resort. During our time at the resort, team members would go out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were well taken care of. Everywhere we went on the grounds had gorgeous background with amazing landscaping, fountains, ponds, woods, and golf courses.

My favorite things about Tullymore Golf Resort:
  • Indoor and Outdoor Wedding Options
  • Amazing Staff
  • On-location lodging
  • Gorgeous grounds and interior rooms

I had a chance to ask Linda a few questions, check out her interview below!

What is your favorite thing about working with brides?  It’s such a joyous time in their lives so I take great pleasure in helping them bring their fairytale wedding dreams come true.  Each bride’s vision is unique which makes each wedding unique so that’s a lot of fun!

What is the most unique thing you've heard of or seen at a wedding? I couldn’t possibly single out only one thing.  Again, each bride brings so many interesting ideas.  Just when you think you’ve seen it all…another great idea comes along!

What do you think is the most important thing for brides to know when looking for a venue? Plan ahead.  We book 1-2 years in-advance.  Also, make sure you’re comparing apples to apples.  In other words, it’s prudent to check out several options, but make sure you’re comparing the same types of venues with regard to size, amenities, etc.  If you look at one venue that only offers a banquet space, but nothing else it is best not to compare their pricing to one that is all-inclusive.  Make sure you fully understand what you’re paying for when they offer a quote, what it includes and what it doesn’t.

What else should brides know about you? Tullymore has a myriad of lodging options for groups large or small!
